HOW TO SEEK AND FIND GOD (Part II)

HOW TO SEEK AND FIND GOD (Part II)

HOW TO SEEK AND FIND GOD (Part II)

1) Know that your trouble is not the problem you face; it is the absence of the glory.

Many Christians are going through pains and calling on God, “Father, please look at my trouble,” and God is not responding. Your trouble is not the problem; you have not found the glory. If you find the glory, then your trouble will become the reason for your manifestation, because you would have learned how to give commandments; because that thing you call a problem, you were designed to command it.

The scripture says, “I’ve seen an abomination upon the face of the earth: princes are walking while slaves are riding on horses.” The things that Christians should command are the things they are calling on God for. The things that they should change are the things that are frustrating them. When you walk in the glory, every crisis becomes a potential testimony; when you walk in the glory, every crisis becomes an opportunity to reveal God.

The easiest way to reveal God is not to talk about God; there are better ways of revealing God. When Jesus wanted to reveal God in Canaan, He waited till the wine was out. At that time, He revealed God in a way that a fake person could not reveal God. He said, “Fill the jars, and fill them to the brim.” And when they filled the jars, He did not even pray, because in the glory, whatever you call it, that’s what it is. He said, “Fetch from the jar and take it to the feast.” Jesus was talking that way because He was walking in the glory. When they took it to the governor of the feast, he said, “What is wrong with you? Men usually take the best wine first, but you have kept the best wine until they are tired of drinking.” That’s because the natural wine was brewed from the tree, and the other wine was brewed in the glory realm.

The wine from the glory realm—when you drink it—you do not just drink in the ceremony; you carry from the ceremony, and the wine begins to change you. You may drink that wine and go home and find yourself walking in glory and speaking in tongues. The Bible says, “Do not be drunk with wine, but be filled with the Holy Spirit.” The wine of the flesh is alcohol, but the wine of the glory is the Holy Ghost. Jesus was teaching us who a man is.

2) Jesus sets an example of how a man’s life on earth should be.

The life of Jesus is a revelation of who a man is, and not who a God is. That’s why, when He finished in John 14:12, He said, “Greater works than this shall ye do.” That means what He came to do is to teach us how to live. Go and look at the life of Jesus: there was never a time Jesus stood and said, “Father, please intervene.”

Jesus knew how to activate the glory. When He comes and nothing is working, He says, “I thank you, O Father, because you hear me.” After that, instead of turning to the Father and saying, “Please raise the dead,” He would speak to the dead: “Arise,” or “Come forth.” When men don’t know the glory, they cannot live the fullness of life. When Jesus was casting out devils and raising the dead, He was teaching us what we will do while He is gone.

And after Jesus finished raising the dead, healing the sick, and doing the miraculous works, He decided to go to the cross. Peter came and rebuked Him, saying, “You cannot do this.” He looked at Peter and laughed, saying, “Get behind me, Satan.” There is something that is more spectacular than healing the sick. For Jesus to complete His mission, He needed to come out of His body and enter Hades. He went to Hades to take all the power that belongs to the devil.

Colossians 2:14: “Having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a public show of them.”

If Jesus had healed the sick alone and gone, and you go to heal the sick, the devil will come and tell you, “Do you think you are Jesus Christ?” He would have won them and gone back to heaven, but He did a public display of them to let us know that the only entity on earth that has the authority of God is His (Jesus’) authority. The devil no longer carries the authority of God. Only the man has the authority of God, because authority is a component of the glory.

Scars of Angels

3) Restoration of the glory and dominion.

Two things were lost in Eden. God said, “Let us make man in our image”—that was the glory. And God said, “Let them have dominion”—that was dominion. So, man lost the glory and his dominion. Jesus came to restore the glory, but He had to give you back the dominion. When Jesus resurrected, He said, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given unto Me; you go in that power.”

Jesus healed the sick, cast out devils, and went to Hades, dealt with the devil, and collected all their power. So, at the resurrection, everything He possessed, He handed over to us. So now, if you are defeated, it is your fault. If you are defeated, it is either a product of your ignorance or a product of your cooperation with the devil, because the authority of Christ has been handed over to you so that you can do what He would have done when He is present. Now that He (Jesus) has done this, He went to heaven to watch you display His power.

When we go out and cast out devils, our first audience is not man; our first audience is Jesus. Elijah knew it in the Old Testament and said, “Before God, whom I stand…” When we go out and cast out devils, our second audience is not men; they are spirits of just men made perfect. What Paul did by Christ, it is expected that you too will do. When Paul was doing it, he knew somebody did it before him.

2 Corinthians 4:13: “According as it is written, ‘They believed and have spoken’; we, having the same spirit of faith, believe and therefore speak.”

The greatest miracle is not when one man stands and raises cripples. The greatest miracle is when the church matures and begins to express different dimensions of God. When Christians come together, it is not primarily to receive healing. The reason we organize healing services is because we know that some people need intervention. When the church matures, it is the world that needs healing service, not the church. It is the world that needs miracle service, not the church, because what we have now is the glory.

The measure you desire is the measure you will carry. It is no longer a possibility that is with God; it is now a possibility that is with you. The reason apostles teach primarily is to teach you what to do in order to stir the glory. The goal is not to end a sermon and make a decree so that you can be blessed. When teachings are made, in addition to the blessings that you receive, pastors or church leaders pray and teach. When they are done teaching, they expect you to take that knowledge and begin to cultivate the glory in your personal life.

Scars of Angels

4) Increase the measure of the glory of God upon your life.

Some of the things you ask in prayer for three days to get an answer, somebody else prays for in one minute. Your three-day prayer is a declaration on the lips of another man, whereas there are those who don’t declare; the moment they think it, it happens. What is happening is measures.

Ecclesiastes 11:3: “When the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves on the earth.”

The calamity you are going through—when you begin to mature—instead of just running to somebody saying, “Pray for me,” when the calamity comes, you go and lock the door, because what is in Christ, you too carry. The only difference is that He has it in higher measures. You don’t just want the problem to be solved; your measure has to increase so that the problem will not come again.

Instead of running to an apostle or a prophet, you enter your room and shut the door, saying, “This crisis is here because my measure is limited,” and you bend on your knees like Elijah and begin to pray. When you have prayed for a while, the atmosphere will change. The Bible says, “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

When you begin to engage the glory on the inside, you will discover that the glory will become a doorway to prosperity. The goal is to bring you to the secret place. The secret place is not behind closed doors; the secret place is the coming of the Shekinah glory, and what will take you there is prayer. Many times, when you have a crisis and you know the crisis is overwhelming you, it is because the Shekinah has not come.

When the Shekinah rested on Israel, the Bible says they walked through the desert for forty years, and there was no feeble one among their tribe. It says their clothes and sandals grew with them. No need to buy clothes, because the glory comes each day and restores the clothes accordingly.

You are going through that problem because the measure is limited. Instead of running for an answer, you get something more than an answer. The power that is making the apostle do wonders is also resting on your inside. When you come to listen to the apostle, you are not waiting for the apostle to make a decree over you only; you are trying to find out: what does this man know that has caused his measure to increase?

Thank God for the answers I am receiving today, but I will not continue receiving answers. Seven years ago, if I had sickness, I would be looking for someone who has a healing anointing. If I had money issues, I would be looking for somebody who has a prosperity anointing. But now, all I do is labor in the glory, and as I am laboring in the glory, different tributaries are opening.

While I honor those who have carried those graces, I stir the waters of my spirit, because I don’t want to travel all the time because I need healing or financial breakthrough. I want the glory to swallow all infirmities. And so, when I lock myself behind closed doors, it is because I heard that the same apostle today who is leading people in stadia locked himself in, and glory came. So, I too lock myself in to receive the same glory.

When I hear that there is a crisis and somebody spoke and things changed, I’m not just interested in the fact that he spoke; I want to find out, what did he do? I heard that Andrew Wommack’s son died, and they put him in the mortuary for 45 minutes. And when they told Andrew, he wanted to weep, and the Lord said, “If you cry, then he is dead indeed.” This is because, if he had cried, he would have moved in the flesh and perhaps doubted whether God could bring his son back to life. Instead of crying, the man began to meditate on scriptures, and when he meditated for 40 minutes, he went and brought his son back to life.

I am happy when Andrew prays for me, but I want to find out what he did. And so, when I hear that he could cry but meditate, then when I face challenges, I do not cry—I meditate as well, because if one can do it, then all can do it.

This is the hallmark of the teaching ministry: to show you the secrets that bring transformation. If you do not know the secret, you will be a babe forever, and you will always be looking for men to help you. And a point will come where men will become your god, because when one man carries the glory, he begins to do what God can do. If you do not carry the glory, you will be a man in the league of God without glory, and so you will have no choice but to serve other men all your life.
