The 10 Battles Against Your Mind
If you are to grow into the God-man, you must learn to attend to and tame the desires of life. Maybe you had a desire to read the word of God when you just got converted. Instead of responding to that desire, you suppressed it with seasonal movies and unimpactful conversations. When such desires persist for a time without response, they gradually become numb.
Many Christians have received the life of Christ, yet they are not witnessing a wonderful and victorious life.
Romans 7:18: “For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.”
1) Conquering Self-Will
A child of God must learn to yield to life. Do not attempt to use your will to accomplish God’s work. Allow the life which Christ has given to grow and saturate you. Human efforts inevitably lead to frustration.
Apostle Paul sought to accomplish divine purposes through human power. He discovered that, despite his deep desire to do good, he repeatedly found himself doing the very things he did not want to do. Paul realized that there were forces at work within him.
God requires the believer to surrender their entire life to Him.
Romans 7:22-23: “For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.”
2) Winning the War Within
The Bible speaks of two laws. There is the law of God, or the law of the mind, which prompts a person to desire and pursue the will of God. At the same time, there is another law—the law of the members—which stands in opposition to and negates the law of the mind. Thus, one law urges you toward the will of God, while another, more powerful law restrains you.
No matter how hard one tries through mere human strength, it will ultimately fail. The law of the members is the law of sin. The conflict between the law of the mind—which is the desire to do the will of God—and the law of sin and death results in frustration, because the law of sin and death will always overpower the law of the mind.
Romans 8:1: “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.”
3) Walking in the Power of Life
When life comes into you, it also operates as a law. As a result, there are now three laws at work within you. First, there is the law of the mind, which represents your desire to serve God. Second, there is the law of sin and death, which is the power that opposes and restrains you from serving God.
Third, Christ introduced another law—the law of the Spirit of life. The law of the Spirit of life counteracts the law of death. As the law of the Spirit of life overcomes the law of death, it frees the law of the mind to function effectively.
The law of life has overcome the law of sin and death, enabling you to act according to your godly desires.
Life is the foundation upon which all the dimensions of God are established within a person. Life is also the means by which humanity is delivered from death.
Romans 8:3: “For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh”
4) Crushing the Weakness of the Flesh
You may know all the commandments, yet you are unable to obey them because the flesh weakens you. What the flesh could not accomplish, because it was weak, God accomplished by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh; on account of sin, He condemned sin in the flesh.
When Jesus imparted His life into you, life was awakened within you—you could now fulfill the righteous requirements of the law. The way to activate life is to cooperate with it. If you do not walk according to the dictates of life, that life will not operate powerfully within you.
Even demons understand this principle. This is why the things they continually present to you on social media are designed to turn your affection away from God. The Scripture says, “Do not love the world or the things in the world; for if anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” This is an area where many Christians are weak.
If you desire the awakening of the power of life, you must learn to discipline and rightly orient your mind. Some Christians say, “It is not a sin to listen to worldly music.” They argue that it is not a sin to watch ungodly movies or to scroll endlessly on social media.
While it may not be labeled as sin, it gradually redirects the heart’s affection away from God.
When you pick up my phone, either a gospel message or a worship song is playing, or videos of God’s works and miracles are playing. Either I am studying principles that produce impact, or I am listening to principles of growth, excellence, and value creation. Anything that adds value is what I allow into my hearing.

5) Mastering the Mind
Scripture instructs us: “Whatever things are pure, whatever things are of good report, whatever things are holy and peaceful—set your mind on these things.”
I am not saying one should listen only to preaching. Rather, anything that does not add value should not occupy your mind, because where your mind dwells, you will eventually become.
Some believers’ phones have only secular songs. They feed their minds with the jargon and filth of the music. When you ask them, they say, “Is it not a sin? I’m just listening to a song.” It’s not a sin, but it is reorienting your mind. This is the reason why sin dominates many Christians today.
The devil is smart. He knows that if he brings fornication directly, you will run. So, he creates something that turns your mind from God, so that even when fornication does not come to your mind, you will go and look for it. The devil knows that the power is in the orientation of the mind. If your mind is oriented, what you see and what you hear becomes who you are. You cannot define yourself outside of this reality.
When a person’s mind is oriented toward God and toward things of virtue, the power of life is naturally activated. Suddenly, you find yourself doing godly things, and you won’t even know where the wisdom comes from—you just instinctively know how to handle difficult situations.
If you give life room in your heart, authority, prosperity, healing, etc., will manifest, because life is the bedrock upon which the installation of divinity rests.
6) Cooperating with Life
In the UK, there is a Church of Satan. But the truth is, the devil does not even need a Church of Satan to dominate the world. If he has a cinema where nakedness is constantly displayed, that is more powerful than a Church of Satan. As you look at it, you are worshiping him through your mind, and it has the capacity to enslave an entire generation. The devil needs your mind to feed on these things so that he can keep you in bondage.
The moment life comes into you, it will have demands. If you want the powers of life to manifest in your life, you must respond to these demands promptly. For some, the demand will be isolation with God; for others, fasting; and for others still, study—you may find yourself with an appetite to sit down and read an entire book.
Quickly respond to those desires, or else the desire may fade. The more you hear and respond to these demands, the more powerful you become, and the more you grow in the Spirit.
What degree are you cooperating with life?
7) Destroying Spiritual Ignorance
We practice things that only affect physical life. And neglect the things that affect the spiritual life. For any dimension that is awakened in you by Christ’s life, you should create a schedule around it. For example, you may discover that in the evenings, you receive songs or hear impressions that don’t make sense at the moment—but two days later, they happen. You might be driving in the evening and sense that someone who did not have a child is now pregnant, and a week later, you hear that the person is indeed pregnant.
Sit down and reflect on these moments, asking, “When am I picking up these signals?” Once you recognize this, you can take deliberate steps: leave everyone else and be alone during that time.
As you spend time alone, a point will come when you begin to observe events: the positive ones you will energize and prophesy over, while the negative ones you will stop. You will start to function like a God-man. That is when the things you do not permit cannot happen, and only the things you allow will come to pass.
8) Submitting to the Protocol of Life
Many of us are so careless that even matters in our own families go unaddressed, and then we wonder, “Why? What is going on? Why are bad things happening?” Things go wrong because you are not growing. The day you begin to grow by cooperating with life, those bad things will begin to stop happening. This is not just the heritage of apostles and prophets—it is the heritage of every believer in whom eternal life has been installed.
The Bible says that whoever has the Son has life. It also says, “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.” So, the question is not whether we have life or not; the question is, to what degree are we cooperating with it?
When negative things happen, you can speak with audacity: “In the name of Jesus, I change it.” People may look at you and ask, “Who do you think you are?” It’s not about who you think you are—it’s about where you have entered: the threshold of life.
In the corridor of life, when we speak, things happen. This is the wisdom of the just. The Bible says we are a wonder to our generation. The reason we are not manifesting as wonders is that we are not maximizing what we have in God. You have life within you, and that life operates according to a protocol. If you do not follow those protocols, you cannot live in victory.
2Timothy 1:10: “but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.”

9) Breaking Free from Religious Comfort
Christianity is the only space where many believers are not taught these truths. A witch of ten years can teleport, and it is not considered a miracle or a big deal, because from the time of their indoctrination and initiation, those things were taught as their way of life.
We, as Christians, come to church in cars, and some even feel important because of the cars they drive. But if witches gather for a meeting, anyone who arrives in a car cannot enter. They all teleport into the meeting. Everyone appears in their seat through the wind, and no one is shocked when another suddenly appears.
Yet, if a pastor were to appear on the altar in church, trust me—ninety-nine percent of the congregation would run. We would rush out of the hall, saying, “This man is a witch.” We have fallen so far that any supernatural dimension we encounter, we immediately label it as witchcraft and attribute it to Satan. Is that not pathetic? If anyone does anything supernatural, we say, “No, no, no—that is a witch.”
Subconsciously and subliminally, we believe that witches are the ones who have power, the ones who demonstrate the supernatural. Meanwhile, we have become comfortable with religion and rituals. As long as it is ritualistic and religious, we feel safe. The moment it becomes supernatural, we run away. Yes, we must be discerning, but if you are natural and think everything must remain natural, you have fallen.
If I were to appear on the altar in church, it would become national news. It would be everywhere in the media. Theologians would sit down to debate it—some arguing for it, others arguing against it—and the discussion would last until the end of the year. Why? Because we do not know what we have, and who we are. How can a doctor struggle helplessly in a hospital when drugs are no longer working? When drugs fail, a word spoken from life can restore the patient.
How can an engineer be confused when the laws of physics fail? Bring in the laws of the supernatural. How can a businessman fail when the principles of economics don’t work? Enter into your realm and download wisdom. Even the world was created by the wisdom of God—so how can your small business fail?
We do not know what we have. And this is the unfortunate reality: when we talk about Christianity, it is often only about people and buildings. We build cathedrals. There is nothing wrong with having a cathedral for people to come and worship. But if our glory lies in aesthetics and structures, then we have fallen.
10) Defeating the Illusion of Mortality
A generation is coming in which people will begin to live beyond the power of death. The reason we die is not that we lack immortality, but that we learn about immortality too late. The consciousness of death becomes too strong within us, so that even when we receive the gospel and meditate on it, we cannot reach a level of consciousness of immortality strong enough to overcome the awareness of death. That is why people continue to die.
A new generation is coming that will learn the ways of God as children do—naturally, easily, and as they grow. If we start teaching Children about God at that level, children will manifest things that even global apostles do not manifest at the peak of their ministry.
The gospel brings life and immortality to light. Every person who is born of God is introduced to a journey of immortality. Just as we are brought into the journey of life to awaken to the manifestation of God, we are also brought into a journey of moving from a fleshly mindset to a spiritual mindset—until immortality becomes a living reality within us.
1 Corinthians 2:12-14: “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
11) Awakening the Consciousness of Eternity
This is the heritage of the saints in the light—we are meant to manifest immortality. It is not automatic; it is a journey. Sometimes I meditate on these things and say, “Lord, help Your church to come into this truth.” You see Christians lining up for direction, for deliverance, and for healing.
We thank God for these miracles and healings. But honestly, if you are a spiritual person, it will break your heart. People who should have authority over demons are so helpless that they have to wait in line, relying on one person out of millions. That means, when you find ten million believers, only one has truly understood.
Does this not give you an idea of how ignorant we are? Imagine if you were the only engineer in a faculty. They say a car tire has a problem—they look for you. The engine plug has a problem—they are looking for you. Would that make you happy? No—it would be a shame. Yet this is the state of spirituality in the Church. All the sick line up to one person. All the people needing deliverance line up to one person.
The secular world understands education better. When they train people, they teach everyone the basics. After a few years, they produce hundreds of engineers who can all build, operate, and maintain machines in their field. Yet in the Church, some have been around for ten years, and still only one person casts out demons, prays for the sick, or prophesies—and we celebrate that. Does this not suggest something is wrong with our “syllabus”?
If people go to secular institutions and in four years become chemists, physicists, engineers, or doctors, why is it that believers go to the school of the spirit and we are not producing spiritual graduates? Something is wrong.
How can you be in Church for five years and still be waiting for a miracle? In five years, you should be able to do what the pastor is doing. If you are looking for a miracle, that is no longer a testimony. Something is wrong with the doctrine and with the philosophy. So, we celebrate what we should abhor. Jesus has brought life and immortality through the gospel.
The question is: how do you journey into immortality?
