The little Story of God’s Wife

Little story of God’s wife.

On a chilly day, a boy of around ten years old stood barefoot on the sidewalk outside a shoe store, shivering from the cold.

As she peered through the window, a woman, visibly shivering from the cold, gently walked up to the boy and asked, “My dear, why are you gazing so intently through the window?”

And he said, “I was asking God to give me a pair of shoes.”

The woman swiftly grasped the boy’s hand and led him into the store. Inside, she requested the clerk to fetch six pairs of socks for the boy. Additionally, she asked for a basin of water and a towel.

Please notice that she did not need three confirmations from God in a trumpet blast. She saw a need, and she immediately got busy meeting that need. She didn’t question the little boy by whether or not he deserved it.

She patted him on the head and, as she turned to go, she said, “No doubt, fella, you feel more comfortable now?” The astonished boy looked up, caught her by the hand, and with tears in his eyes, he said, “Madam, are you God’s wife?”

You have got to declare war on selfishness. Make up your mind today. Declare boldly, “I refuse to live as a selfish, self-centered person. I am not going to do it.” The only way you can beat selfishness and greed is to be an aggressive blesser of other people. We live in very self-centered times, and the opportunity to be selfish is everywhere.

Go and be a Blessing to Someone Today.
