How to do Charity Wisely.

The world is swamped with deceitful people, and we often feel lost and doubtful about whom to trust. It is a cruel world, and everyone seems to be looking out solely for themselves. When you become successful, you will have many friends. But those friends may not hesitate to abandon you when you begin to struggle in failure and destitution. Despite this, there are still good people who deserve your kindness and affection.

You should not completely withdraw your helping hand because of the state of the world. Some people are not truly in need; they are simply lazy, greedy, and selfish. Nevertheless, you still have to help people, but wisely.

1. Give to orphanages

Orphanages are among the best places to donate your excess income. These are places where children genuinely need help. They do not always have to ask for it; you simply have to give willingly. There are many orphanages, even within your neighborhood.

However, not every orphanage should be blindly trusted. Some organizations claim to run orphanages while hiding selfish agendas. Make proper research about an orphanage before donating your money. Observe how the children are treated, visit the place once in a while if it is nearby, and ask the children how they are coping. Giving can be meaningless if the money is not put to proper use.

Giving is like sowing a seed. Anything you give wholeheartedly may come back to you a hundredfold. But if you knowingly give where the money will not be properly used, there may be no blessing in return, and your effort could go to waste. If you send your son to plant seeds and he fails to plant them, there will be nothing to harvest. Follow up on your seed and make sure it is planted as intended.

2. Give to prisoners

Many prisoners live in regret over the crimes they committed. In some prisons, inmates barely receive good meals. They are often deeply appreciative of anyone who shows them kindness. There is fulfillment in seeing someone sincerely grateful for the gifts you donate. In that way, your effort will not go in vain, and peace will be upon you.

One of the greatest pains is seeing someone misuse your hard-earned money without appreciation.

3. Help family wisely

Family is one of the closest attachments you can have in this world, yet relatives can sometimes be difficult. Many relatives may not care about your welfare or whereabouts until you become financially successful. Once you have money, they may begin to surround you constantly.

If a relative lacks integrity in financial management and constantly depends on you for money, be careful lest your resources run dry. Extend your hand wisely; family is broad, and you cannot carry everyone’s burden.

Be moderate in your kindness and generosity. Nowadays, many people quickly forget the help they once received. When the giver becomes broke, the receiver may begin to gossip.

4. Support hospital patients

Pay hospital bills for patients who cannot afford them. Certain medical conditions are very expensive to treat. Many people work hard, yet hospital expenses can still become overwhelming and unexpected.

5. Contribute to community projects

There are community projects organized by local authorities such as chiefs, councils, and community leaders. These projects are meant to improve infrastructure, water systems, and other public services.

At the beginning of such projects, the public is often called upon to contribute financially or materially. The results of these projects are visible and beneficial to everyone. Supporting such projects is a meaningful way to ensure your money does not go to waste.

6. Support private schools

The infrastructure of many private schools is below standard. The lack of teachers, boards, laboratories, and computers is very common. This creates an opportunity to support the education sector in your country.

In such cases, it is often better to support in kind rather than in cash. Some school directors or principals may misuse donated funds for personal interests.

When God blesses you financially, it is not only for luxury. It is also an opportunity to share with others and support those in need. Increase your standard of giving during times of abundance. Giving is a life worth living. However, be wise in your charity work so that you do not become broke and mocked by others.
